My baby is growing up

Chelsea amazes me. Somehow, somewhere, she has decided to grow up! She is starting her 4th week of high school - a pretty scary step in most of our lives. And yet, she has tackled it with grace, humor, and a sense of responsibility! She undertakes her mound of homework without much complaining. She wakes herself up in the morning at 4:45am to get dressed and do her hair and makeup. She has a smile on her face when I get up an hour later to make her breakfast. It's truly amazing! This is the same daughter I had to drag out of bed last year at 7:00am, who would mumble something at me at the breakfast table and I would have to shout to hurry up or she would miss the bus! This is the same daughter who would forget just about everything unless I reminded her a bunch of times... :-), let alone get her homework done. She is the daughter who would be "lost in space" most days and not very responsible. What happened? Did I miss something?
I guess my baby is growing up.....
